Institute of Physiology, Biochemistry and Animal Health
The teaching and research work of the Institute of Physiology, Biochemistry and Veterinary Medicine provides basic knowledge of animal health and broad bio-education of students and practitioners. The Institute is responsible for teaching the subjects of biology (Zoology, Animal Hygiene, Biochemistry, Microbiology) and Veterinary Disciplines (Animal Health, Reproduction Biology, Animal Hygiene), providing a basis for further professional development and modern biological thinking.
The Institute carries out intensive research of safe food ingredients of animal origin, about the molecular, cellular and whole-body-level effects of health-promoting or health-damaging substances in feed and food.
The aim of the Institute is to carry out research at an international level involving as many students as possible (graduate and doctoral students) and to continuously integrate new research results into the education of graduate and postgraduate students. In order to achieve this, we continuously develop the infrastructural and personal conditions of laboratories required for teaching and research work.
