The Rippl-Rónai Faculty of Arts of Kaposvár University holds a special art exhibition which includes pieces of contemporary documentary photos and works of abstract art on the theme of the founding of the State of Israel. The works of Zoltan Kluger and Dan Reisinger are on display in the gallery of the faculty.
The opening ceremony was held on 10th April 2018 hosted by Dr. Pál Hatos, the dean of the faculty. ’Art acts as a bridge between nations’, emphasized Yossi Amrani, the Ambassador of Israel to Budapest as he opened the exhibition. ’Similarly to Hungary, Israel is full of creative and confident people’, pointed out Prof. Dr. Ferenc Szávai, the rector of Kaposvár University in his opening speech. He also touched upon previous events of the university’s relation with the state of Israel; Ilan Mor, former Ambassador visited the university five times and he was also awarded an honorary doctorate, while Yossi Amrani was welcomed now at the campus for the second time.
The exhibition will run until 20th April 2018.
