Kaposvár University can collaborate with several higher education institutions in Poland creating new opportunities in teaching staff and student mobility, joint research and conference organizing. The faculty coordinators visited seven higher education institutions, where they got acquainted with knowledge transfer centers and, in some cases, also gained an insight into study programmes.
Based on the experience of introductory meetings, joint work is possible in several areas including animal assisted education BA offered by our Faculty of Pedagogy, which attracted several Polish universities. The Faculty of Economic Science first intends to launch partnerships in management science and HR management, and later aims to extend cooperations to agricultural economics, regional sciences, marketing and finance. As for the partnership with the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (KUL), the Faculty’s Christian value based management training may be the first common starting point.
The Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities, with its 50-year tradition, appears to be a particularly promising partner. Researchers of this university and our Faculty of Economic Science have already contacted each other in connection with common tenders and joint scientific publications.
In general, most of the visited institutions were open to Erasmus partnership, teacher and student exchanges, joint projects, research and conferences. Two agreements have already been signed and other two are currently in progress. Thus, in the near future, more agreements can be reached that will enable Kaposvár University to further expand and strengthen its valuable international relations.
