The International Evening started with one of the traditional dances of the Angolans, called the semba. The students also performed numerous fun and informative presentations about their country and culture. Later on, they could learn about the technic of decorating gingerbread and the evening ended with a Hungarian folk dance show with many students participating in it. The main goals of the event were to make our students learn about each other’s culture, habits and forge them into a community. The University pays significant attention to the integration of international students. To help this process to become smoother, we started a Mentor Program. Within the program, our Hungarian students can help the international students in their everyday problems and tasks, make new friendships and also refine each other’s language skills.
