The international relations at Kaposvár University are managed by two offices.
The Student Enrolment, Advisory and Carrier Group is responsible for mobility related programmes and scholarships, which are dealt with via a Hungarian mediator organisation (e.g. Tempus Foundation), such as Erasmus+, Stipendium Hungaricum, Campus Mundi, Visegrád Found.
The Directorate of International Research Projects and Relations arranges the rector’s and the university’s contacts with higher educational institutions, research institutes, and other organizations. It helps the rector and vice-rectors in improving international educational, scientific, and professional contacts. It represents the university in university associations and vocational forums in the fields of international education, research.
The Directorate also manages all research innovation projects (such as Horizon 2020) that are not financed via a Hungarian Managing Authority (e.g. Erasmus+, Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund). Solely with regard to the directly financed international projects the Directorate is responsible for coordinating the project preparation, submission and implementation, as well as innovation and knowledge transfer activities.
The Directorate is responsible for the international research strategy, in particular, for the participation in the H2020 program. Based on the university research strategy, the Directorate searches for calls and tenders and channels them to the participant institutional units. It supports the establishment of new consortiums by finding research partners, facilitates contacts with partners and their representatives. It participates in research forums. The Directorate maintains the University’s relations with the European Commission, International Research Organisations, the National Research, Development and Innovation Office, H2020 program committee members and the National Contact Points.
The Directorate participates in information days on the Horizon 2020 project proposals.
The Directorate is also responsible for organising protocol visits of ambassadors and senior management from partner institutions.
The head of the Directorate is the Director of International Relations and directly related to the Chancellery of Kaposvár University.

Board of International Relations
The tasks related to international relations are assisted by the Board of International Relations, which has the right to offer opinions and make proposals to the Senate about developing contact-building strategies. The Board represents the interests of the faculties and, presents their requests to the senior management of the university. Furthermore, the Board facilitates the work related to international relations in channelling university-level international educational, research, and professional contacts to faculty-level, and helps the faculties participate in international inter-scholastic co-operations and staff and students mobility programs. It offers opinions about applications for staff and students mobility. It offers opinions about the opportunities for faculties to join in international projects or research networks. The Board makes its own decisions about its priorities, with deference to law, the University Regulations, and the approval of the Senate.
Members of the Board of International Relations: the chairman of the Board is the Director of International Relations. The four faculties (Animal Science, Economic Science, Arts, and Pedagogy), the three organizational units of the Health Center (Health Center, HC Pannon Equestrian Academy, HC Center of Game Management), and the Feed Crops Research Institute all delegate a coordinator to the Board. Further members are the general secretary of the Rector’s Office and a deputy of the students’ union. Staff dealing with international relations can participate in the work of the Board.
