The Department of Hippology was established in 2013 in order to offer higher education in Equine Sciences. The aim of our B.Sc. programme is to educate equine sport engineer professionals who can use their knowledge in the equine husbandry and equine sports sector which is different from others in its structure, operation and goals (acquired knowledge, skills, personal qualities). Students will gain in-depth knowledge to continue their studies at Master’s level. The title of the bachelor level programme: Equine Husbandry, Equine Sport Engineering. Undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the Department are Sport and racehorse breeding, Construction and function of horse breeding associations, Genetics of the horse, Show jumping course design and judge training, Equestrian sports, Equine and stable management. Research activities focus on genetic parameter estimation of racehorses.
