With regard to the personnel of the Institute of Plant Sciences, there are currently two academicians, two major MDS, 11 PhD holders and one managing expert. The Institute consists of two departments whose educational and research activities are wide-ranging. They are mainly involved in the teaching of the subjects related to plant production; the number of subjects taught exceeds 50. In both the graduate (HLVT-Higher-Level Vocational Training, BSc, MSc) and Postgraduate (PhD) training of the FAE (Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences) and its partner institutions it plays a significant role. In addition to teaching, research activities are also conducted through international and domestic consortium tenders and assignments. The dissemination of the achieved scientific results occurs through delivering lectures and publishing scientific papers in domestic and international scientific conferences and in prestigious scientific (Hungarian and foreign language) journals.
